This project will help California Department of Education (CDE) staff learn to monitor and report outcomes using the new assessment and accountability systems for English learners. These skills will be used to develop a new standard for English learner reclassification.

This project will help the California Department of Education (CDE) implement guidelines, business rules, and other policies that reflect technical quality and transparency and that lead to effective decision-making at the state and local level, particularly in the areas of statewide assessments and accountability data-reporting through the California School Dashboard and the School Accountability Report Cards.

The Office of School Quality in the Virginia Department of Education (VDE) is moving from a compliance model to a continuous improvement model of school improvement. This project will support this change through office team development, the identification of best practices, and the use of an implementation science framework.

The purpose of this project is to design and implement a strategy for communicating about and clearly explaining the Tennessee Department of Education’s A-F school grading system.

New Jersey will evaluate possible next steps in student assessment, based on other states’ experiences, following its decision to leave the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) consortium.
