During this hour-long session, experts from Bellwether Education Partners' Strategic and Academic Advising groups introduced frameworks and related tools they have been using to support scenario planning for the return to school throughout the nation. Topics include a review of the challenges that leaders have faced due to COVID-19, the questions leaders are considering as they decide which scenarios to deploy, and recommended frameworks and best practices for this kind of planning. This program is the first in a two-part series.

The Talent for Turnaround Leadership Academy (T4TLA) is a multiyear initiative supporting seven states and 14 school districts in aligning their equitable access and school improvement efforts through the federally funded Comprehensive Center Network. In this video, GTL Center project lead, Dana Chambers, shares the blended learning technical assistance approach that grounds the project, and regional and state team members highlight their experiences in the project working to improve teacher retention in high-need schools in their states.

This report presents a description of the CEELO Leadership Academy and a snapshot of the methods used to collect data for this retrospective review; findings from the analysis regarding the Leadership Academy design and the Leadership Academy’s impact on participants; lessons learned and implications for the design of professional development for state early education administrators; and recommendations for future Leadership Academies.
