Center Spotlight - SECC

The Southeast Comprehensive Center (SECC) at AIR is one of 15 regional comprehensive centers funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The centers provide training and technical assistance to state education agencies (SEAs) to enable them to assist school districts and schools in the implementation and administration of programs authorized under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and the use of research-based information and strategies. SECC works closely with SEAs in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina to support their efforts to implement, scale up, and sustain initiatives statewide and to lead and support their school districts and schools in improving student outcomes.

South Carolina Personalized Learning

SECC partners with the CIL and CCRS to provide training, resources, and technical assistance on personalized learning to educators and leaders in South Carolina. The goal of this project is to assist the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) in supporting teachers and students in the areas of learning technologies, competency-based education, and personal competencies.
