Designing for Equity: A Nationwide Education Policy Scan

National Comprehensive Center, in collaboration with Education Commission of the States, conducted a nationwide education policy scan to determine how state education policies might impact educational equity. Aligning with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s domains and indicators that assess disparities in student outcomes and opportunities, this scan aims to identify patterns in how current policies shape student experiences and underscores the need to build capacity among policymakers, educators, and technical assistance providers to address policies affecting educational equity.
