Some state and local educational agencies prefer to use alternate terms to “social and emotional learning” (SEL) in their school plans, budget, classroom, and schoolwide practices and policies. The Student & Staff Well-Being Work Group collected a list of alternate terms that can be used and linked them to sources to illustrate their purpose.
